Okay. Sorry. I apologize. But if you could see my workload right now, you'd totally understand. You'd give me a hug, perhaps some cocoa and most likely a backrub and say, "It's okay, Kayla. We totally get it." But you can't see my workload, so I won't receive any of the said cocoa and virtual backrubs.
Needless to say, it's 4:36 in the morning. I have 36 minutes left on a 318 minute file. I'm nearly there. But yet, I'm here, procrastinating, typing something other than this damn file, trying to give my brain a break. I have pictures, but alas, I've hardly had time to eat let alone load them into photobucket. So you'll have to wait. I'm taking tomorrow off because I'll have met my quota for the week tonight, and after several hours of blissful sleep, I'll post the pictures on here. I've got lots to show you. Spinning, knitting, dying, more spinning. It'll be lovely.
But you'll have to wait. This file beckons, and my fingers scream no, and my brain just wants to sleep, but I would like to get paid for this, so I'd best finish it. Wish me luck, send me virtual cocoa, and think of me and my poor fingers while you all read this.

So Busy, I missed the Boat.
Happy belated Blogaversary to me!!! It was the one year anniversary of this blog back on March 2nd. I knew it was in March, but when you're trying to do 130 minutes of audio a day (three-to-four hour turnaround time), you tend to lose brain cells. So happy Blogaversary! I'm excited!
I've cast on for my Hemlock Ring Blanket, but no pictures yet. Give me some time, people. It's been quite the month so far.

Something New and Something Blue
Sorry it's been so long since I posted. I've been busy. Work has been a crazy thing, with nearly 14 hours of audio sitting in my queue. As well, I've had little to no time to do anything for just me. However, I have managed to knit a bit on the Stor Rund Dug, and lovely large doily pattern from Denmark. Of course, it doesn't look like much now, but it will when it's blocked.

There's still a ways to go on it, and I can't wait to finish it. I'm probably going to use my green silk laceweight that I spun up to make a larger shawl version. It's so pretty!
Speaking of spinning, I've been dabbling:

It's 100% Merino, and I bought the fiber at Make 1, of course. Speaking of which, have you seen their new online store?

I've really been feeling the two ply lately, and the last fibre friday on Craftster added to the love. Anyway, I have eight ounces of this spun up, and at about 110 yds per ounce, I have a nearly 900 yards of this fingering weight yarn. I think I'm going to turn it into a sweater for moi.
Hope you all are well!
